In 2007, Aaron Musch felt God call him to move to Guatemala. This calling resurfaced in 2010 when he had a chance to teach and explore ministry opportunities with YWAM Antigua, Guatemala. In 2012, he prayed about moving to Guatemala and felt it was time. Aaron's heart was to open a coffee shop ministry center for the community. As vision narrowed down, it was those living on the streets he catered to.

Aaron's first year in Guatemala was spent getting to know these guys. He would feed them soup weekly. He saw how they had no sense of home nor family. Often because of this, the guys living on the streets were using harmful substances that would frequently hospitalize them.

In January of 2014, Aaron began Cafe Refrescante. He wanted to provide a safe atmosphere for the street guys to enjoy free coffee, play games, and hear about the love of Christ. It was an outlet that would serve as a place of fellowship. He would often hear their stories of how they came to live on the streets. This led to figuring ways of getting them back onto their feet.

"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing (REFRESCANTE) may come from the Lord"
Acts 3:19
